--------- SPEED TALKS FORMAT ---------

  • Speed talks are a novel and efficient format for presenting at 2f-NIRS conference. Students who are in the early stages of a Masters or Ph.D program and have few results are strongly encouraged to give a speed talk presentation
  • A maximum of 4 minutes will be given to the speed talk presenter, with 1 minute for questions.
  • Speed talks can be supported by a very small number of slides (5 slides maximum) and should highlight the important points of the research project such as its objectives, key findings, and one summary figure. Presentation of methodology and context should be kept minimal
  • Presenters of speed talks can, and are encouraged, to also present a poster. Speed talks would then serve as an invitation to visit the poster during the breaks and engage in more in-depth discussion of the research project
  • Due to meeting room and computer equipment constraints, speakers will not be allowed to use their personal computer during their presentation. Speakers must bring their talks in PPT or PDF format on a USB memory stick to the designated table before 10 AM.
