RALF facilities upgrade

D 9 septembre 2016

For this new academic year (2016/2017), the electronics, optronics and signal department (DEOS) decided to extend and optimize our software defined radio platform due to the growing number of students in telecommunication engineering :

  • the whole room 07.113 is now completely focused on software defined radio (SDR) applications (see htp://ralf.isae.fr for examples) ;
  • a new layout enables practical labs and mixed lecture/demos to about 20 students ;
  • 6 additional stations have been deployed, making a total of 14 stations ;
  • key card access control has been added for a more flexible use of the room.

This technical room will be extensively used for various courses : digital communications, network simulation, radar signal processing... The hacklab (student association) will also be hosted in this room.
